There's no denying that summer is here; it is already 94 degrees in Miami and the longest day of the year June 21 is right around the corner. When taking baby to the pool or beach ,we recommend covering him with one of our oversized tubby towels. Even a few minutes in the sun can wreak havoc on delicate baby skin. so make sure he is well covered while you are applying sunscreen. Find a reputable sunscreen suitable for kids with a minimum SPF rating of 35 and apply it Then reapply it whenever you can even if your baby protests.
Sun burns creep up out of nowhere. You think you put on enough sunscreen on your kids and then later you see those dreadful burns pop up.Did you know that most children rack up between 50% to 80% of their lifetime sun exposure before the age of 18? Additionally, did you know that a bad burn before the age of 10 can give them up to a 50% chance of getting skin cancer as an adult?
Enjoy the sun , but remember to apply lots of sunscreen.
