Personalized Pink and Green Gifts for a Baby Girl Shower

Baby showers are special events ; welcoming the new baby to the world with love and gifts. Namely Newborns was proud to be chosen to create gifts for a awesome baby shower for little Colette. The first decision was to find out the color scheme so that we could make sure everything matched. Once a gift is personalized with a name, it cannot be exchanged so we wanted to make sure that all of the gifts would be perfect. 

The grand mother told us that the nursery was  green with pink accents. This is a gorgeous color combination for any baby girl. It combines classic good taste with a modern twist.

We selected the most beautiful "must haves" for this new baby, personalized them with her name or initials and then arranged them in professionally wrapped baskets with cellophane and ribbon and lovely gift bags. Groups of family friends decided how much they wanted to spend on group or individual gifts and then the personal shoppers at www.namelynewborns.com went to work. The finished results were two beautiful wrapped wicker baskets and a medley of lovely gift bags filled with goodies.

One of the first items to be designed was a custom heart quilt.The quilt needed to be in light green and pink and we thought hearts would be a sweet theme for little girls. Our quilter went to work, cutting out dozens of hearts and appliqueing them  on a field of green and pink. A hypo allergenic batting was inserted and the quilt was sewn together. The final step was to embroider the baby's name and birth date at the top of the quilt.

Several of the grand mother's friends decided they wanted to give a personalized gift basket of essentials. We selected a soft floral fabric to cover  a travel wipe case and built a gift basket around this custom case. The case is made in the U.S. from soft cotton fabric, trimmed and gimp and finished with a beautiful embroidered name in pink script. The case is the right size to slip into a purse or diaper bag when mom needs to freshen baby up when they are on the go. This amazing hand crafted gift was placed in the center of the basket. A 3marthas hooded towel with appliqued baby lambs and a coordinating bib with a Velcro snap surrounded the case.

Now that we had a baby quilt, bib, towel and wipe case, we knew that we needed a baby blanket with a name and birth date in a second basket. Our silky soft 29" by 36" pink and green plush blanket filled the requirement perfectly. This basket included a soft pink bashful bunny by Jellycat which had a name embroidered on the left ear as well as another high quality cotton bib.

Many other guests  joined the quest for baby gifts in pink and green. We customed a gorgeous pillow, another adorable towel with pink and green flowers as well as outfits and toys. Gifts were wrapped in beautiful pink gift bags filled with tissue and tied with green and pink ribbon.

The day of the shower arrived and we delivered all of these gifts to the event. Everyone played lots of shower games and enjoyed a delicious lunch of salad topped off by cake and fruit. The two month old baby made her appearance at the end of the shower in the arms of her proud dad. After everyone admired the baby; mom and friends loaded the car with all of the goodies to put in the beautiful pink and green nursery.
