Memories of Easter Baskets

When my children were small, my parents would come over Easter Sunday with a home made Easter basket overflowing with stuff. My mother would find two colorful wicker baskets, add artificial grass and then fill them with Easter candies and plush toys that she collected all year. No matter how busy they were, they would delivery these baskets in person. If any other children were visiting , they would have an extra chocolate Easter bunny for them, but the baskets were for the grandchildren. The kids looked forward to these baskets even past their toddler years. When they were older, they were a bit embarrassed and protested that they were too old for Easter Baskets; but when my parents left they still ate the chocolates and checked out the goodies that were hidden in the artifical green grass.
Easter had a lot of great memories for my family..We dyed eggs and would hide Easter eggs in the bushes around our house. We often re hid them after they were found until the eggs were so cracked and messy that it was impossible to handle them. The kids never got tired of hunting for the eggs.
My mother is no longer here and my children now have children of their own; but the memories of those beautiful Easter baskets are still talked about to this day. We were lucky, my parents lived close by and they could hand deliver those precious baskets.
Holidays create beautiful memories and Easter is a fun holiday to gift bunnies and lambs as well as security blankets and toys. Think about sending your children and grand children gifts for Easter. Bunnies and lambs are always a favorite; but any stuffed animal will work and all security blankets with animal heads will become instant friends to be treasured and loved.
It's fun to deliver these special gifts yourself so you can enjoy the delight and excitement that they produce. But if you don't live around the corner; the next best thing is to let www.namelynewborns.com personalize your favorite Easter bunny, wrap it beautifully and send it by priority mail to arrive the day before Easter. Your family will email you the videos or pictures of the pleasure that personalized holiday gifts bring
