It is hard to believe summer is almost over and school is just a few weeks away. If this is your toddler's first year at pre-school or if your older child is entering a new school, it can be pretty scary for them. What can a Mother do to make those first few days of this new and exciting experience less traumatic.
- Make sure that your child has everything he needs for school or pre-school way in advance.
- Don't make the day before the big event a last minute scramble to buy clothes and supplies.
- Practice walking into a new situation.
- Talk about what he can expect.
- Walk himto his class the first day and make sure he knows you will be there when he finishes.
- Make sure he eats a good breakfast and gets a full night's sleep.
